No offense to Kermit, it gets easier every day to be green. Not necessarily a frog, but it's certainly easier these days to be eco-conscious. Let's not forget, I am the "au natural" sister. I've developed a huge aversion to plastic - disposable plastics.
I could link you to a million different preachy websites about why disposable plastic is bad, ranging in topics from the harm to the environment to the harm to our bodies. So I've taken a few small steps around our house to try and do our part. It's not about living in a grass hut with dirty hair and homemade clothes. If everyone did little things, you'd be amazed at the progress that is made.
While I'm on my soapbox, I'll talk about bottled water. I hate it. I can't stand it. Nothing could be worse for you or the planet. We don't drink it at our house or anywhere for that matter. We have a filter on our faucet because our drinking water is like taking on too much water in a swimming pool. At work, I drink from the water cooler, even though there is a refrigerator full of bottled water.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not perfect. I love my Sonic Diet Coke with my Styrofoam cup and plastic straw, but it's like I said - little steps. So our next little step is our new Sigg Water Bottles. They are aluminum and won't distort the taste of whatever is in them, including water. It won't leach any chemicals in the water, even in the hot sun. Oh and did I mention they are cute?
And if you want a little more technically specific information, including facts and figures, Steph gives more information on her site about this same topic.

I'm so proud of you!!! Its nice to not be the only tree hugger anymore!! Welcome to my side of the greener grass!! :)
Wait a second, is this the same person who said "I don't care what they say, my styrofoam cups are cute, and I'll continue to use them." Who's captured Nicole and taken over her blog?? :-)
When did I say my styrofoam cups were cute? And I'm sure I'd still stand by that statement. Like I said, I'm not perfect. I know that's hard to believe though!
