What gives you the warm fuzzies?

With Valentine's Day fast approaching and the discussion of gifts between me and my dear husband, I thought back to our first Valentine's Day together. We dressed up and went to a nice dinner. We had only been together about 6 weeks, so it was actually a tough "first holiday" together. Everything is either "you're my pal" or "I love you more than air". There's no middle ground.

Aside from a nice dinner and a movie, he got me a beautiful necklace, life-size teddy bear and a pound of chocolates. I got him a framed National Champions picture (which still hangs proudly in our living room) since the Sugar Bowl was our first date. You can see the little dots of us in the picture too.

All very sweet and romantic, huh? Well, four years later, you know what my sweetheart is doing for me for Valentine's Day? I'M GETTING A GARBAGE DISPOSAL! WOO HOO! (everyone pause to do a happy dance) Apparently, we really ARE an old, married couple. But whatever, I'm beyond happy. No more scraping that junk out of the drain with my finger (gloved, of course, but still insanely gross)!

And yes, the thought of cleaner trash gives me the warm fuzzies!

UPDATE: After several questions by people, I'll say that I'm not sure why this now 5 year old house was built without a garbage disposal. It is a custom built house and we even have electrical outlets outside in the eaves of the house wired to a switch inside for our Christmas lights. But no, we don't have a garbage disposal. We have to have an outlet put in for it, so that's why we haven't had one before now. It's really the only thing this house was missing. But not for long!

Really, it doesn't get any more romantic than a garbage disposal (especially since it'll mean NOT having to scraping out the gungies from the drain)! GO T!!!

You mean I wasn't the only one left in the world without a disposal???? I thought those were standard on houses built in the last 10yrs. Actually, I have one, only it's still in the box. I chose to hang curtains over the weekend rather than have it installed. Crazy me!

As for the warm and fuzzies. Flannel pjs are always good!
