This really has been the longest week ever. It has been completely exhausting but gone in the blink of an eye. I capped off my week of practically no sleep by staying up all night for the Harrah Relay for Life. It was hard but for a good cause.
We just want to thank everyone for the kind words and sympathy regarding Rufus. He was a part of our family. And I have spent a lot of time this week thinking about all the good times with him and the completely hilarious things he would do. I also remember how it was in the beginning with him - it wasn't exactly easy. You just couldn't pet him enough. He always wanted more.
There are lots of stories that I want to share and I may some day, but right now, we're just sad.

Go ahead and be sad. I'm right there with you. Judge Lou and Animal Loving Mona (jury management coordinator) and many of my coworkers send their love and sympathy. Nanny and the Crows are all in mourning as well. The kids are really sad. We'll talk Rufus stories when Nanny and I get to your house. We can't wait.
I love you,
Mom
