Sultans of Swing

The Tigers swept through their Regional in a blaze of home runs, amazing defense and ace pitching. While listening to the game under our tree 200 yds from the stadium, LSU's crackpot radio announcer comes up with another jewel, "I wish you could have seen that play!" Apparently, having to listen to him wasn't enough of an insult. Now he has to rub it in our face that we aren't IN the game.

Anyway, it was a nice, quick trip. We got to see a lot of people. Thanks to everyone who adjusted their schedules and went out of the way to see us. And for those that we couldn't see, we will be back! It was short notice and a lot to do in a little bit of time.

I'll have a few pictures to put online later. The baby was sick, poor thing. So we don't have a ton of them like I did at Christmas. But I'll put them up in the next couple of days. We were only gone a couple of days, but it's amazing how out of touch it makes you feel. I'm trying to get back in the groove.

For those of you not aware, T starts a new job tomorrow. He's enjoying his last Monday off today. Poor thing will have to go back to regular weekends and holidays off. Sad, huh? When we have new contact info for him, we'll let everyone know.

LSU takes on the UC Irvine Ant Eaters (not making that mascot up) next weekend for the final weekend of baseball at Alex Box Stadium. It holds a lot of baseball history, but the steel frame that is up of the New Alex Box along with the return of successful baseball tells me that there will be plenty more memories created in the new stadium. And they might even air condition the bathrooms! WOOT
