Lots going on in the Smith household this week. Monday when I posted, Doodle was just barely making it over. Now every time we turn around, she's freaking out because she's on her tummy and doesn't know what to do. Last night she started screaming about 4 am. She never just screams so I jumped up. She was face down in the middle of her bed moving 100 mph trying to roll back over. I calmed her down, put her on her back and off to sleep she went.
I decided last week that taking a match to the house is probably not a good idea since I'm sure someone would consider it insurance fraud. But I can't take all the crap anymore! So I've started a slow but steady plan to get the house cleaned, decluttered and organized. It won't happen overnight. It didn't get messed up overnight (although it feels like it sometimes), so we are going to take our time and do it properly.
I work just 15 minutes a night, but it's making a difference already. You can get a lot done in 15 minutes. Who knew? And it's a much better alternative to renting a bulldozer... I guess.
I'm also starting the Couch-to-5K training program. It's a 9 week program to get you up off the couch and running a 5K. Since I am a couch, not just a couch potato, I'm stretching it to 10 weeks and I started just walking this week. I'll start the official training next week.
And tonight on my walk, I figured out a rather annoying thing. The only return route to the house is uphill. Now since I've told everyone, I guess I actually have to follow through and finish.
Finally, stupid Gymboree is having a huge sale. So I'm resisting the urge to shop until this weekend. Hopefully the urge will be gone by then.
