Can you believe it's been a half a year already? I swear it was just yesterday we were in that horribly hot hospital room. But the little person looking back at me has changed quite a bit.
She's now 17 lbs, 3 oz and are you ready for her height? You sure? She's 28.5 inches long. Yes, she's just about 2 and half feet tall. She may be taller than Leslie by her first birthday.
She's rolling over like a champ and now insists on sitting up. If you recline her too much, she'll try to sit herself up. I'm sure she's got great ab muscles from doing that all the time.
She's enjoyed singing along with the Christmas carols on the radio. And giggled as we sang and danced to the Elvis Christmas Album. That's always a good sign.
Her visit with Santa was a huge success. Overall, we have no complaints. She's actually starting to eat some of her food instead of spitting it right back out. And she's so cute when she swallows it. She kind of sucks in her bottom lip when she does.
We are just getting over our first ear infection. We caught it very early and although we would normally have waited to treat it since it was so early, with us getting ready to travel for the holidays, I didn't want to take a chance with it. So we had our first taste of the pink, bubblegum medicine. She would have made Auntie proud. She'd suck the medicine out of the dropper before I could even squeeze it into her mouth.
I know that I'm looking forward to her being able to interact with everyone during the holidays. I'm sure it will be a whirlwind, but we can't wait. I do have some pictures that I hope to add later this weekend.
